Esta estructura se encuentra a pocas millas de Edimburgo y con ella los barcos superan el desnivel de 24 metros que existe entre los canales Forth and Clyde Canal y Union Canal. Se inauguró en 2002 con la presencia de la Reina de Inglaterra y actualmente es el único ascensor rotatorio para embarcaciones del mundo. Pese a su gran estructura, tarda 5 minutos en bajar/subir los barcos utilizando 22000kw de potencia.
This structure is located few miles from Edinburgh and boats can sail through Canal Forth and Clyde and Union Canal because of its 24 meters lift. It was opened in 2002 with the presence of the Queen of England and is currently the only rotary boat lift in the world.
